The family plan

One subscription, up to five accounts, one person paying for all of them. Everybody keeps their own week, their own notes, their own everything. Only the payer sees the billing pages and can change the plan.

Setting it up

1. Buy the family plan — the option is on the register page, and on Settings → Billing if you started solo.
2. Open Settings → Family and type an email address.

That is the whole procedure, and it does not matter whether that address has an account yet:

• Already has one — they are asked. A band appears at the top of their app, and an email goes out saying you have offered; the seat is held for them but nothing about their account changes until they accept. You can withdraw the offer while it is unanswered, and they can decline it. An account that pays for its own subscription has to cancel that first — otherwise accepting would leave them on your plan and still paying.
• Does not — an account is made for them on the spot, and they get an email saying you are paying for it. The link in it opens their account, already signed in, asks them to choose a password, and goes on to the first-run setup. Nothing is asked of them, because the account did not exist a minute ago.

Leaving, and ending

Taking somebody off the plan (Settings → Family, the × beside their name) removes the seat and nothing else: their account and everything in it stays, and it is theirs to subscribe for or export. If the plan itself lapses, every seat lapses with it the same way — everything kept, everything exportable, nothing else working until somebody pays.
